
Home to the Drok-pa community, the stunning visuals are from the Aryan Valley
Have you ever seen apricot trees in full bloom? Well, the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department has recently released a video presenting stunning visuals of apricot trees in full bloom in the Aryan Valley in Ladakh.
Home to the Drok-pa (Brok-pa) community, who are said to be of Indo-Aryan descent, the villages chosen in the Aryan Valley for this stunning sequence of visuals are Darchik, Hordass, Sanache, Garkon, Dah, Biama, Hanu, Gargardo and Chulichan.

Located in the upper Indus valley, the Drok-pa tribe has a distinct culture, dress and religious beliefs marked by a form of Buddhism heavily influenced by pre-Buddhist animist beliefs.
