Periyathambi is a farmer hailing from Chinnaveeramangalam in Tamil Nadu, and the family once solely depended on the 10 acres of land they owned in the village.

What sets the group apart is their simple dressing style — shirts and lungis, the larger-than-life portions of food, and the authentic way of cooking using hand-ground spices.

Whether it is crabs in hot oil, mutton shuwa, kizhi parotta or even 1,000 pani puris in a single sitting, the group is always delighting their viewers with new challenges and recipes.

Even the videos are shot in style, with the youngsters and their grandfather being thorough sports, delivering dialogues in the local dialect, running through the fields of Tamil Nadu to get the meats into their massive pans, and working through the ingredients at break-neck speed.

Subramanian adds, "We earn Rs 11 lakh through our channel every month!"
