TBI Blogs: This Christmas, Learn How to Love from Those Who Have Loved & Lived the Longest

This Christmas, CurleyStreet Media celebrates those who have known what it is to live and love the longest. The short film Love is about what truly matters when dusk approaches.

When youth fades away, when the clock gets slower, and you breathe a little easier, you think less angrily about injustice and more about the power in living with love. Only love. “It is in love that we are made and in love we disappear.”

In an age when we’re all constantly on the move, it is important to remind ourselves that we live only through the moments we spend—with those closest to us, and with those complete strangers we can be a blessing to. Being this love should be our legacy. We must give of ourselves all that we can, and make it count and make people smile. In every older person, we must celebrate the fragility and beauty of a life well-lived.

Loving makes us fragile. This Christmas, we celebrate the most fragile of us—the ones who have loved the longest.

The film features the voice and words of the late great poet, Dr. Maya Angelou. Used with permission of Caged Bird Legacy LLC.
