Delhi-Mumbai Gets an All-New Super Rajdhani: Here are All The Details
In a series of tweets, the railway ministry announced the launch of the Super Rajdhani and all the changes this new train would bring about as compared to its older counterpart.
The 12951/12952 Mumbai Rajdhani Express is a super fast express train of the Rajdhani class that runs between Mumbai and Delhi in India. The train was the fastest Rajdhani with an average running speed of 90 km/h.
On an average, it takes 15 ½ hours to cover the distance between the two cities.
But now the railways have launched the Super Rajdhani, reducing the travel time by at least two hours on this route.
In a series of tweets, the railway ministry announced the launch of the Super Rajdhani and all the changes this new train would bring about as compared to its older counterpart.
The fares for this train will cost passengers Rs. 600-800 less than the hitherto Rajdhanis on this route.
The fares of this train in second and third AC will be around 19 percent cheaper than the maximum flexi-fare of the corresponding classes of the existing Rajdhani on this route.
The train will leave Delhi on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from Mumbai on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The train will leave the Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi at 4:15 pm and stop at Kota, Vadodara and Surat before it reaches the Bandra Terminus at 6:10 am on the next day. The arrival time is to help passengers avoid the morning traffic rush.
Alternatively, it will leave from Mumbai 4:05 pm and reach Delhi at 6 am the next day.
The Railways Ministry also added that beverages and dinner will be sold at inexpensive rates.
