Video: “I’m Not South Asian Any More than Russians Are North Asian” – Comedian Rajiv Satyal

“I‘m Indian. Just Indian. I’m not south Asian any more than Russians are north Asian,” says comedian Rajiv Satyal, in his video named ‘I am Indian’.

Bringing a smile on the faces of numerous proud Indians around the world, his words give many a reason to celebrate their identity and remember their roots, wherever they go.

Satyal is a US citizen himself. He was born in Ohio and started doing stand up comedy in 2002. But after listening to this strong talk on why people need to quit saying that they are not Indians because they were not born here, or because they speak a certain way – one will definitely think twice before calling him an Indian American.
