Picture the transgender community in your mind. What do you see them doing for a living?
Some conventional options like begging, dancing and sex trade might have come to your mind. This is because until now, people of the community was often ignored, deprived of their rights and had to do odd jobs to sustain themselves.
But things changed on February 14, 2014 after a landmark ruling by Supreme Court. The transgenders got a new identity and were recognized as the third gender.
The court also ordered the government to provide them with jobs and education quotas. The rule came as a breath of fresh air for the community and opened many gates for them to pursue different careers.
Paras could be a teacher…
Madhuri could be a lawyer…

And Rani can don a uniform and pursue her dream of becoming a police officer…
They can be anything and everything.
