From politicians to celebrities and people across the globe, everyone came together and participated in the interesting initiative, which was kickstarted by a sarpanch in a Haryana village and has now become a worldwide trend after PM Modi’s intervention.

What started as a small initiative from Sunil Jaglan, sarpanch of Bibipur village, Haryana, became a worldwide trend when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked about the interesting #SelfieWithDaughter initiative in the ninth edition of his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.

After his announcement to support the initiative and share a #SelfiWithDaughter, social media erupted with a huge response. Modi also talked about “Beti Bachao Beti Badhao” initiative which he launched in January to improve the status of women in the country.

Modi also promised to retweet the Twitter messages with the best tag line and it didn’t take parents from across the world long to post adorable selfies with their daughter to support “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”. Here are some from across the globe –
