Don’t Drink & Drive: These 9 Apps Will Help You Reach Safe Back Home!

This New Year’s, do you plan to get sozzled in a pub or a restaurant? Make sure you don’t drink and drive!

For those revellers worrying about reaching home safely late night in Hyderabad on New Year’s Eve, we’ve got some good news for you!

Mission Smart Rides (MSR) under its ‘Don’t drink and Drive’ campaign launched a new application called ‘Smart Waiter’ which allows pub and restaurant waiters to book an Ola cab for customers. Ola also launched a poster with its hashtag #PeekeMatChala to promote the launch of this app.

Over 536 odd waiters working at liquor establishments will have access to this app, where they can keep track of the number of drinks a customer orders on a particular table.

“Accordingly, they can get the phone number and book a cab for the customer,” said Shravani Baghi, MSR director told the Times of India.

Apart from allowing cab bookings, the app will enable customers to commute in their car to hire drivers.

The rationale behind giving access to only staffers is to avoid customers from misusing offers, but the MSR team is looking forward to introducing another app for customers.

Ola will offer the first ride free of cost and a discount of 15% on repeat rides from known pubs and restaurants.

1. Party Hard Drivers

Mumbai-based Party Hard Drivers provides chauffeurs in two cities including Mumbai and Pune. With ‘uniformed drivers that are reliable, professional, trained and capable of driving all cars’ since December 2007, in addition to providing drivers only at night, they have extended their services during the day and for outstation trips.

While the rate card after 7 pm for 6 hours is Rs 850, hiring a ride between 6am and 4pm for 8 hours, the cost comes up to the same amount. Overtime charges after 6 hours are Rs. 50/hour

2. DriveBud

DriveBud is based out of Gurgaon but operates in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Ranchi and Patna. With insured and background checked drivers, the app monitors the driver’s movements in real-time. Their services are 24/7 and can be accessed with just a few clicks.

The rate card varies from Rs 125 per hour to Rs 900 for 12 hours. They charge Rs 100 extra during nights. The app is available for Android and IOS

3. DriveU

Available in 6 cities including Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai & Pune from DriveU is a professional car driver service which allows you to hire a driver on an hourly basis starting at just Rs. 99/hour*!

DriveU has nighttime drivers available at special night time fares to allow you to reach home safely in the shortest duration after a good time. After you have requested for a driver and specified the location, time and extent of the services required, it will show you options like night drivers, outstation drivers, one trip, round trip, and so on and assign you a driver as per your requirement.

*After the first hour is up, you pay by the minute after the first hour. One-way charges of Rs 50 + Rs 5/km after 5 km, up to Rs 150. The night time charge is Rs 200 for drives ending between 10 am to 6am. Download the app available for Android and IOS to know more.

4. DriversKart

DriversKart is available in Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune. Hire a driver as per your requirements like hourly, full day, one-way trip, round trip etc. The driving facility boasts of each of its drivers being fully insured and carefully screened for clean driving, hygiene, drug tested and background checked.

While the minimum fare is Rs 89 for the first hour, additional costs then are measured by Rs 1.5 per minute. The night charges between 10 PM–6 AM are Rs 150 extra. Download the app on your Android and IOS phone to know more.

5. Aap ka Driver

Aap ka Driver (translating to ‘Your Driver’) provides reliable drivers on demand 24*7 for local as well as outstation trips. The rates are according to the size of the car and the time required for the travel. The app can be downloaded on iOS and Android phones.

The rates vary from anywhere between Rs 400-500 depending on the size of the car for four hours during the day, and three during nights.

6. Whistle Drive:

Hyderabad-based WhistleDrive provides you professional and trained on-demand drivers at your doorstep. You can hire a temporary driver on an hourly basis for your car at just Rs 75/hour*!
Available for both one way or round trips within city limits and outstation trips, the app also provides valet parking services for events, hotels, and hospitals.

7. Zuver

Zuver is based out of Mumbai and sends its driver within 40 minutes of booking. You have to enter your pickup location and choose your package. Once you confirm, the app will send you your driver details instantly. You can book your service in real-time or in advance too, for an hour or the entire day.

The app allows you to track your driver and communicate with him too. The charges cost Rs 100 per hour for up to 4 hours. The aim is available for Android and IOS

8. Driverzz:

Driverzz is a Hyderabad-based company that provides you with experienced, trained and background verified drivers to pick and drop you at your location, be it any occasion.

The service provides uniformed as well as non-uniformed drivers on a per minute/ hour/day/week/month/permanent basis for both local and outstation trips at affordable prices. You can make cash payments as well use Paytm. The app is available for both Android and IOS.
