Like a story unfurling, one gets to witness different shades of green along with a multitude of umbrella heads.

Monsoons in Kerala is an affair of its own.

A part and parcel in the lives of people, the incessant downpour across the state doesn’t put anything at halt. Right from school children to professionals, life continues to go on.

Making its entry in the month of June, the southwest monsoon is called Edavappathy, as it falls in the middle of the Edavam month, according to the Malayalam Calendar.

Like a story unfurling, one gets to witness different shades of green along with a multitude of umbrella heads. And if the rains stop for a brief while, don’t let it fool you into taking a walk without an umbrella.

For before you know what hit you, the rains will pour down!
