Ailing Pakistani Infant’s Dad Tweeted to Swaraj for a Visa. Her Prompt Action Is Winning Hearts!

An ailing Pakistani infant got visa to undergo treatment in India after his father tweeted to Sushma Swaraj.

Amidst the rising tensions between India and Pakistan, Indian Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has proved that no rifts should come between human interests.

A Pakistani infant in dire need of medical treatment received approval for a medical visa with intervention from Swaraj after his father tweeted to her.

Pakistani national Ken Sid’s three-month-old son Roohan needed to be treated in India for his heart ailment. After facing problems in procuring visas for his family, Sid made a desperate appeal to Swaraj on social media last week to help his child get proper medical care. Swaraj responded promptly by promising to issue the visa.

The Indian High Commission in Islamabad then issued visas to the infant and his family.

Ken’s heartfelt appeal rendered support from thousands of netizens from both sides of the border.  “He does not even know what is happening between India and Pakistan,” Ken had tweeted.

Swaraj’s tweet too, was retweeted by many and her prompt humanitarian response invited praise.

“It is heartening to see humanity prevailing despite many differences. Thank you for your efforts. Humanity prevails! God bless everyone,” was Sid’s reply after he was issued the visa. He also posted a thank you message on behalf of his son, saying “I thank you all, especially those who helped me to get through this process. Your prayers are always needed. God bless you all. Roohan Ken Sid.”
