VIDEO: Stressed About IIT Entrance Exams? Listen to What These Comedians Have to Say First.

Former President Late APJ Abdul Kalam had once said – “Some of the brightest minds in the country can be found on the last benches of the classroom.”

But while preparing for several major examinations, or trying to cope with their studies in schools and colleges, not many students are able to understand the significance of a statement like this. The academic pressure makes it very difficult for them to look at the larger picture and realise that they will find a way to move forward, no matter what. One of these stressful exams is for gaining admission into the IITs – coaching classes for this take place all across India.

In East India Comedy’s latest video, EIC Outrage, the comedic group brings forward the issue of student suicides in Kota, a city in Rajasthan, which is famous for its numerous IIT coaching centres. Comedian Sapan Verma, who also attended IIT coaching classes, talks about the kind of pressure he had to go through, to make students understand there are many careers other than engineering as well. Many other comedians, who either did engineering or prepared for it, also share their experiences and advice for those who might be going through the same phase.

This video is meant to let students know they are not alone and that engineering entrance exams are not the end of the world.
