
The Government of India has announced that all passports lost or damaged due to the Chennai rains will be replaced for free.
Many people in Chennai have lost their passports along with other belongings because of the floods followed by the unceasing rains. In order to help them get a new passport without any hassles, the Government of India has announced that all passports lost or damaged due to the Chennai rains, will be replaced for free.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made this announcement on Twitter:
If your passport is lost or damaged in floods, pl go to any of three PSKs in Chennai. They will issue u fresh passport free of charge. Pl RT

The three PSKs in Chennai are as follows:
PSK Aminjikarai – Navins Presidium, No. 103, Nelson Manickam Road, Aminjikarai, Chennai.
PSK Saligramam – No. 1, Bhanumathi Ramakrishna Road, Saligramam, Chennai
PSK Tambaram – Claret Complex, Duraisamy Reddy Street, Tambaram, Chennai
