Pondicherry has implemented a robot kiosk, called 'Constable Singham' to help tourists with queries.
If you happen to be visiting Pondicherry and need any kind of help, just turn to ‘Constable’ Singham, a robocop, kept in front of the police station on Beach Road, to help tourists and answer their queries.
Inaugurated by Lieutenant Governor Kiran Bedi on Sunday, the tourist-kiosk will answer questions and give tourists information about vital services such as the nearest police station, nearby hospitals, etc. Fitted with CCTV cameras, the interactive booth has a microphone, for the public to interact with the policemen.

During the inauguration, Bedi acknowledged the advent of artificial intelligence and spoke of rapid advances in the development of artificial intelligence technology. She mentioned that the police force should keep abreast of latest technology trends.
