Vacation Alert! Indian Railways to Start 42 Summer Special Trains Today

The summer holidays are the time when trains are packed to full capacity. Everyone wants to get away, from the mundane and dive into something fun. Well, this time the Railways has decided to run Summer Special Trains, to accommodate the extra summer rush!

Here is the list of special trains and their routes, so pack your bags and book your tickets.

1) Train No. 01664/01663 Habibganj–Dharwar–Habibganj Weekly Special (With Special Fare):

This train will leave Habibganj at 5:00 p.m. every Friday, and arrive at Dharwar at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The first service of this train will be from Habibganj, on April 6, 2018, and the last one will be on June 29, 2018.

For the return leg of the journey, the Dharwar-Habibganj Weekly Special will depart from Dharwar at 10:50 p.m., every Saturday, and arrive at Habibganj at 4:20 a.m. on Monday. The first service of this train will begin from Dharwar on April 7, 2018, and the last service will be on June 20, 2018.

Routine stops for both directions will be Hosangabad, Itarsi, Khandwa, Manmad, Bhusaval, Ahmednagar, Kopargaon, Pune, Daund, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj Jn, Ghataprabha, Belagavi, Khanapur and Londa.

2) Weekly Tatkal Special: Train No. 06541/06542 Yesvantpur–Pandharpur–Yesvantpur

The Yesvantpur-Pandharpur Weekly Tatkal Special will depart from Yesvantpur, on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m., and arrive at Pandharpur at 11:35 a.m. on Fridays.

The inaugural service will be on April 5th, and the last service will be on June 28, 2018.

For the return leg of the journey, Train No 06542 Pandharpur–Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Special will leave Pandharpur every Friday at 1:35 p.m., and arrive at Yesvantpur at 6:20 a.m on Saturdays.

The first service will commence from Pandharpur, on April 6, 2018, and the last service is on June 29, 2018.

Routine stoppages for both directions will be at Tumakuru, Arsikere, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Ghataprabha, Kudachi, Miraj, Kavathe Mahankal, Dhalgaon and Sangole.

3) Train No. 82653/82654 Yesvantpur–Jaipur–Yesvantpur Weekly Suvidha Superfast Express Special

Train No. 82653 Yesvantpur–Jaipur Weekly Suvidha Superfast Express will depart from Yesvantpur at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday, arriving at 6:35 a.m. at Jaipur, on Saturdays. The first service will begin from Yesvantpur on April 5, 2018, and the last service will be on June 28, 2018.

For the return leg of the journey, Train No. 82653 Jaipur–Yesvantpur Weekly Suvidha Superfast Express Special will leave Jaipur at 10:15 p.m every Saturday, and arrive at Yesvantpur at 5:55 p.m every Monday. April 7, 2018, is the first service, and the last one is on June 30, 2018.

Routine stoppages for both legs of the journey will include Tumakuru, Arsikere, Birur, Chikjajur, Chitradurga, Ballari, Guntakal, Mantralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir, Wadi, Gulbarga, Solapur, Pune, Panvel, Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsar, Chittaurgarh, Bhilwara and Ajmer.

4) Train No. 06547/06548 Yesvantpur–Ernakulam– Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Special

Train No 06547, the Yesvantpur–Ernakulam Weekly Tatkal Special, departs Yesvantpur at 10:45 p.m. every Tuesday, and arrives at Ernakulam at 12:00 p.m. the following day.

The first service began on April 3, 2018, and the last one is on June 26th, 2018.

For the return journey, Train No 06548 Ernakulam–Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Special, leaves Ernakulam at 2:45 p.m., every Wednesday, arriving at Yesvantpur at 4:30 a.m. the following day. The inaugural run from Ernakulam was on April 4, 2018, and the final run is on June 27, 2018.

Routine stops in both directions include Krishnarajapuram, Bangarpet, Jolarpettai, Tirupattur, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Podhanur, Palghat, Otapalam, Thrissur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town.

5) Train No. 06579/06580 Yesvantpur–Visakhapatnam– Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Express Special

Train No 06579; the Yesvantpur–Vishakapatnam Weekly Tatkal Express Special, leaves Yesvantpur at 6:35 p.m., on Fridays, arriving at Vishakapatnam at 2:35 p.m., the following day.

March 30, 2018, saw the first service of the train, with the last one scheduled for May 25, 2018.

For the return leg of the journey, the Vishakapatnam–Yesvantpur Weekly Tatkal Express Special will leave Vishakapatnam at 1:45 p.m. on Sundays, arriving at Yesvantpur at 9:05 a.m. on Mondays. The first service started four days ago, on April 1, and the last one will be on May 27, 2018.

Routine stoppages for both directions will include Banasawadi, Krishnarajapuram, Whitefield, Bangarpet, Kuppam, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Tenali, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Ankapalle and Duvvada.

6) Train No. 07603/07604 Kacheguda–Krishnarajapuram– Kacheguda Weekly Special with Special Fare

This train, No. 07603 Kacheguda–Krishnarajapuram Weekly Special, will leave Kacheguda at 6 p.m. every Sunday, and arrive at its destination at 6 a.m. the following day. The first service started on April 1st, and the last one is scheduled for 24 June, 2018.

For the return journey, the Train No. 07604 Krishnarajapuram–Kacheguda Weekly Special, leaves Krishnarajapuram at 3:25 p.m. on Mondays, arriving at Kacheguda at 6:55 a.m. the next day.

The first service of the train started from Krishnarajapuram on April 2, and the last one is on June 25, 2018.

Bi-directional routine stops include Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Kurnool Town, Dhone, Gooty, Anantapur, Dharmavaram, Shri Satya Sai Prasanthinilayam, Penukonda, Hindupur and Yelahanka.

7) Train No. 08301/08302 Sambalpur–Banaswadi–Sambalpur Weekly Express special with special fare

Train No 08301 Sambalpur-Yesvantpur Weekly Express Special, departs Sambalpur midweek, every Wednesday at 9:30 a.m., arriving at Banaswadi at 4:40 p.m. on Thursdays. The first service is from Sambalpur on April 4, 2018, and the last service is on June 27, 2018.

For the return journey, Train No 08302 Banaswadi–Sambalpur Weekly Express Special with a special fare, will depart Banaswadi half an hour past midnight every Friday, arriving at Sambalpur at 6:35 a.m. on Saturdays. The first service from Banaswadi starts tomorrow on April 6th, and the last one is on June 29th, 2018.

Routine stoppages, for both routes include Bargarh Road, Balangir, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Rayagada, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta (via Pakala) Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Krishnarajapuram.
