IRCTC Ties up With Ola: Now Book a Door-To-Door Cab 7 Days in Advance!

It’s good to get away from all the pollution and noise, every once in a while, and sit back and unwind. We could be headed out of the city, the country, and sometimes even make a short trip only to meet our relatives, but everyone will agree that summertime is synonymous with short summer breaks and quick getaways.

We have all been through the hassle of trying to find cabs or autos after a long journey. Not anymore.

IRCTC and Ola cabs have partnered up, and IRCTC customers now can now not only book train tickets, meals and tourism packages on the IRCTC website and app, but also book an Ola cab. This six-month pilot partnership hopes to ease the travel woes of train commuters.

Under this partnership, Ola cabs are providing their entire entourage of Autos, Micro, Mini, Prime Sedans, Prime Play and shared cabs. Commuters can choose any of the cars that suit their need which will take them to their destination with the “same price available directly on the IRCTC Rail Connect App and website,” according to Financial Express.

You need to log in to your IRCTS account using your credentials and click on the ‘services’ button. Here, you can select the ‘Book a Cab’ option. You can schedule a ride seven days in advance, or if you happen to forget, on the spot—at the Ola kiosks.

IRCTC believes that their website or app can now be a one-stop shop for most of the travel necessities of commuters, and also hopes to attract more commuters to use this platform.

An IRCTC spokesperson said, “The ease of travel of our commuters is of prime importance to us, and we believe that this association will help in delivering unparalleled convenience to the users on our platform, fostering and strengthening the culture of Digital India.”
