Some time back I had to get a minor operation done on my foot, which was followed by a week’s bed rest and a month of “no walking” phase. For some urgent office work I had to travel the next day after my operation.

“How hard could it be? I will get help to walk at the airport and I won’t put pressure on my foot,” I thought and went ahead with my journey. But, I soon realized that that was going to be a long day for me. I had no idea that things as simple as getting into a cab could pose such difficulties. That is when I realized how inconsiderate the facilities are towards those with special needs.
