This Hero Runs a Free Tiffin Service for Abandoned Elders

31-year-old Deepankar Patil feeds hundreds of abandoned Ajjis and Aazobas in Pune through his ‘Art of Helping Foundation’.
After losing his father when he was just 2, Deepankar endured a tough childhood.
In this struggling period, he saw many bad & lonely days and survived only on one meal per day.
Deepankar did not want anyone else to suffer the same.
So he started by donating food packets whenever he could find time
Soon he left his job as a graphic designer and founded the ‘Art of Helping’ foundation
Today, Deepankar’s team feeds and cares for elders who have no one else looking after them.
He not just free meals, but he also provides them with groceries, blankets and medicines.
Treating them like their own grandparents, the team also cleans their house and spends time with them.
When I was ill, a grandma told me that it doesn’t matter if 100 people die, but nothing should happen to the one who cares for those 100 people.
Deepankar now plans to open a 250-300-bed old-age home for high-risk seniors who are either paralyzed, blind, disabled, or over the age of 80.
His efforts remind us that kindness alone can change the world!
