ISRO Announces Apprenticeship for Engineers/Diploma Holders With a Stipend Upto Rs 9000/Month

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) at Thiruvananthapuram is inviting applications for the posts of technician apprentices and graduate apprentices. There are 435 vacancies for these posts as per VSSC’s official notification. 

This apprenticeship is for a period of one year and selected candidates will get a stipend of Rs 8,000 to Rs 9,000 per month.

Who can apply?

According to the official notification, there are 273 vacancies for graduate apprentices and 162 vacancies for technician apprentices. 

  1. Graduate apprentices: Candidates who have a first-class engineering degree with not less than 65 percent marks and graduates of arts, hotel management, commerce and science can apply. 
  2. Technician apprentices: Candidates with a first-class diploma in engineering can apply. 
  3. Candidates who have acquired their degrees/diploma before April 2019 cannot apply. 
  4. Age limit for unreserved candidates for graduate apprentice is 28 and for technical apprentice is 30.
  5. Candidates who have qualified from state boards in South India (Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Puducherry) will be given priority.

How to apply:

  1. Candidates have to register online on the Ministry of Education NATS portal or SDC and bring the registration number and print-out during the walk-in interview.
  2. The walk-in interview will be held on 07.10.2023 from 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM at the Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery, Ernakulam District, Kerala. Latecomers are not allowed for the interview.
