3. Kalakshetra December Festival – Chennai
Kalakshetra Foundation is hosting their 62nd art festival. The event has been going on since December 20th and the rest of the schedule reads as follows:
Dec 26th: Sattriya dance by Dr. Menaka PP Bora & Indira PP Bora. This will be followed by ‘Stories in a song’ presented by Arpana, conceived by Shubha Mudgal and directed by Sunil Shanbag.
Dec 27th: ‘Mohiniattam’ by Gopika Varma. This will be followed by a Hindustani vocal concert by Madhup Mudgal.
Dec 28th: ‘Chitravina’ by N. Ravikiran. This will be followed by Bharatanatyam by Mavin Khoo.
Dec 29th: ‘Sabari Moksham’ – Dance Drama by Kalakshetra Foundation
Dec 30th: ‘Choodamani Pradanam’ – Dance Drama by Kalakshetra Foundation
Dec 31st: ‘Maha Pattabhishekam’ – Dance Drama by Kalakshetra Foundation
