The idea of a policeman usually generates images of a rough and ready person, who goes about enforcing the law. Seldom does it give you the idea of a melodious voice singing soulful songs.
Sanghapal Tayde is a constable in the Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. Recently, a video of the uniform-clad Sanghapal singing ‘Khel Mandala,’ a Marathi song, went viral on social media. He had uploaded the video to a Facebook page called Maharashtra Police: Varditla Manus (the man in the uniform) that generated over a million views!
Incidentally, Tayde has no formal training in singing.
