An ‘Adult Movie’ by Sofia Ashraf Urges Parents With Teenage Children to Talk Freely About Sex!

In the video, she focuses on a ‘specific’ age group that requires talking to their children about sexual intercourse, instead of protecting them from it, as believed by Censor Board!

Most of us growing up probably learnt about sex from peers or the internet or not at all.

The sex education classes in school weren’t very informative and many parents didn’t do much to help erase our doubts.

In a country that has yet to come to terms with its sexual repression, it is imperative that parents educate children about ‘the’ most important biological process.

Popular rapper and activist Sofia Ashraf wants you to do just that!

In a video named Adult Movie, she focuses on a ‘specific’ age group that requires talking to their children about sexual intercourse, instead of protecting them from it, as believed by the Censor Board!

The video was an answer to CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani’s orders to remove the word ‘intercourse’ from Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma-starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal.

In this age of free internet access and insurmountable amount of pornographic content online, it is probable that young growing children will resort to taking the easy way out rather than having an uncomfortable discussion with parents about sex.

But think about it, wouldn’t it be better if you just talked to your children about it?

So parents, if you are over 36 years of age and have teenagers with raging hormones, talk to them about sex and intercourse instead of them being misguided and confused.

And like Sofia says, “Clearing things up is better than blurring things out!”.
