Stranded After a Landslide, a Group of Fearless Travellers Built Their Own Road to Safety

A rare display of courage and unity is what propelled this group of travellers to pave their way out of a landslide.

En route Manali, the group found their way blocked by a landslide near Langza village, making it quite risky to move forward without a rescue team.

Like most places in the hilly terrains that suffer from poor network coverage, the people realised that they could be stranded for hours before any help could reach them.

Summing up strength and courage, all the travellers decided to team up and work together in order to get out of the landslide-struck region.

In about four hours, the people were able to build a temporary road with the stones they had collected. Only by the time they were able to move again, did a JCB arrive to clear the mess.

In a video shared by one of the travellers, Saransh Chandra, on Instagram, we get a glimpse of undeterred spirit of the people who together tackled the worst of the scenario.

“It was a team effort of all travellers that we crossed the landslide”, mentioned Saransh Chandra in his post.

A salute to the travellers who braved the landslide and their united effort that helped them out of the landslide unscathed.
