Following an Internet-breaking Game of Thrones reference for road safety, Bengaluru City Police is now using other pop culture references to combine public service messages with a dose of fun.
Bengaluru Police is nailing social media, again!
With an active presence across various social media handles including Twitter and Facebook, the police department’s social media team is nailing it with contemporary puns and memes and incorporating pop culture references to put across relevant social messages.
This time, a Narcos reference makes their point on an anti-drug campaign.
Roses are red
Violets are blue,
Heard you’re selling drugs,
We’ll come visit you. pic.twitter.com/z5DIsngG7B— BengaluruCityPolice (@BlrCityPolice) May 18, 2017
Using the popular series as a reference for “Say No to Drugs’ campaign, BCP is not just sharing wisecracks but driving home very important messages.
The last time they won the Internet, it was with a Game of Thrones reference and people went berserk.

They have also taken puns to level ‘Awesome’ in their fun-meets-educative tweets.
“Weed dont need no education” is neither the right lyrics nor the attitude we want in students. This is a non bailable offense. pic.twitter.com/TMCjBM2ZzW

And finally, another Game of Thrones reference.

Keep up the good work Bengaluru Police, and thanks for the tweets we can’t stop liking!
