Meet the 3 Brilliant Girls Who Topped CBSE Class 12 Results This Year

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced the results of class 12 board examinations and has recorded an overall pass percentage of 92.71 per cent in the 2022 examination.

Yuvakshi Vig, a student of Amity International School, Noida, and Tanya Singh, a student of Delhi Public School, Bulandshahr, are joint toppers with a perfect score of 500/500.

While Yuvakshi appeared for English, History, Political Science, Psychology and Painting, Tanya appeared in the English, History, Economics, Geography and Hindustani Vocal Music papers of the CBSE exams and scored 100 in all of them.

In an interview with The Indian Express, Yuvakshi said, “I wasn’t expecting it. I had given all my attention to what I was doing and just hoped for the best possible outcome.” In another interview, Yuvakshi’s mother said, “While we have never put any pressure on her, it is important to keep challenging them. That is the only way in which they will shine.”

Yuvakshi wishes to pursue Psychology and is hopeful of gaining admission into Delhi University.

The sights at Bulandshahr were no different with celebrations all around.

In an interview with APBLive, Tanya said, “There is no doubt that I am thrilled with the results but what is even more heartening is how much happiness this has brought to my parents and teachers at school.”

Tanya wishes to take up history as her subject and thereafter wants to appear for the coveted Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination.

Bhumika Gupta, also a student of Delhi Public School in Bulandshahr, has scored 499/500.

While she says that she did not follow a set routine while preparing, putting in consistent work is what paid off. “The syllabus of Class 12 is not that vast, so consistent hard work is all it takes to do well.” Bhumika is also keen on appearing for the UPSC and becoming an administrative officer.
