shooter Heena Sidhu triumphed and bagged a gold for India at the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup Rifle/Pistol series.

1. Sidhu became the first Indian pistol shooter to reach number one in world rankings in April 2014.
2. Her father taught her the basics of the sport in their home’s driveway.
3. She became the first Indian pistol shooter to win a gold medal in an ISSF World Cup finals in 2013.
4. Sidhu was a World record holder in the 10metre air pistol event with a final score of 203.8 in 2014.
5. She was conferred the Arjuna Award in 2013 by the President of India.
