Are you currently working on an idea in the sphere of clean energy? Think that innovation is something that could potentially make the world a better place? Then you ought to be applying to the contest that is being conducted by IIT Madras along with the United States consulate that aims to make such innovative solutions a reality.
The contest is open for students and startups, and the ideas should operate in areas of agriculture, urban housing, transportation, industrial process, and water and sewage treatment.

The innovation entries must be about renewable energy. The best and most viable of all the entries will be trained and mentored for a six-month period by experts in those fields in both India and the United States.

In order to participate in the competition, students or organisations have to email a two-page concept of their innovation along with either a video or a PowerPoint presentation.
Once they have crossed the first hurdle, a total of 25 teams will be made, comprising five members each, and will begin to be mentored. During this period, they will get a chance to gain a ground-level understanding in the field of renewable energy and will also simultaneously develop a prototype of the idea. This prototype will be funded by the committee itself.
Finally, in December, the teams will be given a massive platform to present these prototypes in front an audience of experts and stakeholders of the industries.
