At 16, Naina Jaiswal From Hyderabad Becomes Asia’s Youngest Post Graduate

Naina Jaiswal is a 16-year-old who loves to study and play table tennis. And yet neither of those facts does justice to this incredible young woman. A genius, she has become the youngest person to complete her post graduation not just in India but Asia as a whole. And she also happens to have won national and international table tennis tournaments.

While most her age are prepping for their class 10 board exams, the teenager from Hyderabad crossed that milestone years ago. She became the first girl from Asia to appear for the class 10 boards at 8 years of age (and passed it with flying colours). She was 10 when she completed her intermediate exams from St Mary’s college.

In an interview featured in The New Indian Express, she talks about her considerable achievements by saying, “At 13, by completing my graduation from university, I became the youngest journalism graduate in India. At 15, I got my post graduate degree from Osmania University and at 16, I am currently preparing for my PhD.”

Apart from this, having being one of the top table tennis players on a global stage, the child prodigy is also happens to be an accomplished pianist and has recorded songs as well.

If Naina’s achievements are impressive, then it is something that seems to be a running theme in the Jaiswal family. After all, her younger brother, Agastya Jaiswal, who is just 11, has appeared for the ongoing Senior Intermediate examination (class 12 board exams). Like his older sister, he is also a student of St Mary’s Junior College. His subjects are civics, economics and commerce.
