Waste Warrior Jodie Underhill – Cleaning The Mountains And Now The Plains!

We have written about Jodie Underhill and the wonderful work she and her team of volunteers is doing in some of the most crowded pilgrimage trails along the Himalayas to keep them free of garbage, earlier in this article. This was way back in 2011, and since then the iron-willed waste warrior has come a long way! She has started cleanliness campaigns in several parts of Delhi, mobilised the general public as well as celebrities like the Kings XI Punjab IPL Team as well as Adam Gilchrist to join her in spreading the word and cleaning up the country.

Here’s a video from TEDxTughlaqRdChange where Jodie talks about all the work that’s been done so far, and all the work that’s left to be done. She talks about going all out and getting support for your cause. It can be seen from the video that if one believes in something strongly, it is possible to convince others, and it is not difficult to find like-minded people who are willing to help a good cause. All that is lacking is a good attempt!
