Six Brave Cops in Shimla Carried a Woman in Labour for 10km to Get Her to the Hospital on Time!

Even as the harsh effects of severe winter continue to hit Shimla, cops in the region warmed the hearts of Indians everywhere when they braved the snow to help a pregnant woman deliver her baby safely despite hazardous conditions.

A 23-year-old woman from the Bhont village in Shimla started experiencing labour pain on January 9. But there was no way for her to reach a hospital because the region was covered in snow. Since all roads were blocked, she was even denied an ambulance. Desperate for any help, she and her mother called up 108 — the emergency number.

That’s when the cops decided to help her no matter what. In an incredible display of humanity, six policemen from Himachal Pradesh came to her house to aid her in reaching the hospital. They personally carried her in a cot for 10 km just so she could get the medical attention she deserved.

These men had to wade through a thick layer of snow while ensuring that Kamini was bundled up and safe throughout the journey.

This is a story that ends well for everyone as Kamini not only reached Kamla Nehru Hospital on time but she also gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
