TBI Blogs: The Hands That Nurture Delhi’s Famous Lodhi Garden

After meeting the gardeners at Lodhi Garden and hearing their stories full of passion, love  for the trees, and disappointment towards a few insensitive visitors, we finally found our next #DelhiHeroes characters to represent the gardener community.

Meet Rohtash Sharma, the proud maali of Delhi’s beloved Lodhi Garden. Rohtash has worked there for 15 years, beginning as a young maali, all the way up to becoming a landscaper at Lodhi Garden. He is a parent, friend, and even a doctor to the trees and flowers. Some days, if you are lucky, you may see Rohtash rushing in his bright green tree ambulance (imagine a green fire truck) to save a tree in the premises of NDMC.

Big up for the green fingers that make our picnics, walks, and leisure in Lodhi Garden a memorable experience.
