VIDEO: The Man Who Quit His Job in a Multinational Firm to Become a Police Constable

Meet Rupesh Krishna Rao Pawar, a graduate from Mumbai University who joined a multinational company immediately after college and worked there for a couple of years. But these days he is found dressed in khaki, diligently performing his duties as a police constable and surprising everyone with the way he talks in very fluent English.

Coming from a “police family”, this constable has seen many ups and downs in life, but he is a proud part of the force.

Rupesh agrees that it is not an easy life with the meagre salary that constables are entitled to. Moreover, there are several challenges that only the strong-hearted can handle – going on difficult missions, living without proper facilities for many days in a row, and dealing with people who don’t always respect the job.

He narrates how a man had once complained that he is not performing his duty properly. “We should not expect anything from you guys,” he had told Rupesh. But when the time came for him to listen to the answer, he was just not interested. And what the constable has to say to that guy and others like him will amaze you!

What made him leave behind all his comforts to become a constable? What does his family think about him? Ever wondered what the life of a police constable looks like. Find out all these and much more in this heart-warming video.

It’s true Mr. Pawar – “you have the heart of a lion.”
