1. Shakti – Woman of Substance – Delhi

“Shakti – meaning “Power” or “empowerment,” is the primordial cosmic energy and represents the dynamic forces that are thought to move through the entire universe. On the earthly plane, Shakti most actively manifests through female embodiment and creativity/fertility, though it is also present in males in its potential, unmanifest form. Its an initiative to create a platform for established as well as emerging ARTISTS to showcase their works to the world. 2. Shadow puppetry workshop – Bengaluru

‘Speaking of Theatre’ is a unique 2-day confluence in Bangalore that will engage theatre makers, performers and audiences through panel discussions, demo-lectures, debates and, of course, performances. Presented by Atta Galatta in partnership with Tahatto, the topics of the event will be highly relevant not just to artists but also to audiences – because one can’t exist without the other. 3. Art for Concern – Gurgaon

The exhibition will Showcase an eclectic and authentic collection of art by masters and promising artists. While the focus is to raise funds for underprivileged sections of society, the exhibition also aims to highlight the work of underprivileged artists, thus providing them a platform unlike any other. 4. Bengaluru Heritage Lecture – Bengaluru

Urban Research Lab Lecture Series in collaboration with SUCHITRA – Centre for Film and Drama Presents Rediscovering Roots, Conserving Heritage: A Study of Bengaluru’s History. The history of Bengaluru dates back to the 16th century. Know all about it in a public talk by Prof. RJ Vasavada and Sanjay Sridhar on their study of Bengaluru’s historic areas. More details.

5. STORM: Snake Rescue – Chennai

STORM – Scientific Training on Reptile Management, a pioneering initiative by the Kalinga Centre for Rainforest Ecology is aimed at all those people who have taken the leap from abhorring reptiles to understanding and learning to co-exist with them. Be it novice snake rescuers, students, enthusiasts who would like to hone their knowledge or others who want to learn right and ethical methods of handling them, this comprehensive bi-series workshop is an open door to learning about reptiles.
