The month long campaign launched by Haryana police and Women and Child Development Departments will involve tracing and identifying missing children and then reuniting them with their families.
Haryana Police Department, along with Women and Child Development Department, has launched a campaign to find and rescue missing children in the state. The month long campaign, called “Muskaan”, will continue from July 1 to July 31, 2015.
The campaign aims at tracing and reuniting missing, destitute and separated children with their families.

The campaign will be divided into two parts, where children will be identified in the first part and in the second part they will be reunited with their families.
Under “Muskaan”, missing children will be searched on railway stations, shelter homes, bus stands, children homes, etc. Those working as child labourers and domestic helpers will also be identified and special attention will be given to those involved in begging.
The photographs of traced children, along with other information, will be shared on the national portal ‘Track the Missing Child‘ and ‘Khoya-Paya‘, and people can use these platforms to report any clues too.
The officials have also requested that if anyone finds a missing child, they should bring him/her to the Child Welfare Committee.
A similar campaign, which was the first-of-its-kind in the country, was held in January this year in which 3,000 missing children were traced. Out of these, 99 were from Haryana. On similar lines, the Haryana police is looking to finding more children who have been separated from their families and are living a life full of struggles.
