1. Umeed – Mumbai

Umeed is an event organised by the N.S.S. unit of Jai Hind College. The theme for this year’s programme is “Stop Violence Against Women”. Check out their events page for more details.

2. UNESCO World Heritage sites – Bengaluru


Essen Communications presents 3-day International Photo Exhibition on UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India and abroad. The exhibition will showcase an array of more than 130 images on World Heritage sites of 20 countries. Check out this place for more details.

3. Grameen Painting Exhibition – Bengaluru

Magnitude Gallery, India’s No. 1 Customized Art Resource, based at Jayanagar, Bangalore, presents a brand new theme – Grameen, series of original paintings, on the old-world charm and innocence of rural India. The exhibition cum sale is ideal for living places, homes, offices etc. The beautiful respite from the monotonous hi-tech age, as the exhibition takes you into that rich rural era of India. 4. Workshop on sustainable lifestyle – Chennai

Green Minds Centre, A group on Ecopsychology (The science of living with nature in harmony), is hosting an interactive talk-cum-workshop that will focus on sustainable lifestyle. Check out this space for more details.

5. The Splendor Of Kashmir – Delhi


An initiative by Varuna Anand, The Splendor Of Kashmir aims to promote the age old art of shawl making from Kashmir. The exhibition will have on display a wide range of Pashmina shawls like bold jamavars, plain shawls, kani and more in vibrant shades crafted by the local artisans from Kashmir. 6. 10th Anniversary of Tsunamika in Auroville

As a natural response to the tsunami devastation in 2004 in the coastal areas of Auroville, Upasana ventured into the field of social development with a strong focus on application of design for social welfare. Tsunamika is a little doll made of cloth fabric by fisher women who were traumatized by the Tsunami disaster. The project was called Tsunamika. In 2015, Tsunamika will become ten years old. The Tsunamika team is honoured to celebrate her birthday and the team is looking forward to seeing everyone there. Check out the event page for more details or send a mail to – umah@auroville.org.in
