Starting your career in New York sounds great, doesn’t it? Well, after going through five years of academics, this lad from IIIT-Bengaluru will head to the Big Apple, to work for Google. 22-year-old Aditya Paliwal from Mumbai will be working with the internet giant’s AI research wing.
His work starts on July 16th, reports The Times of India. He will be on a Rs 1.2 crore per annum pay package.
Aditya is just one of 50 people selected in the world, and around five in India, for the programme this year.
On winning the Google residency, the lad told The New Indian Express that he had interned with the tech giant last year, and had discovered this programme through internal groups. Unsure of doing a PhD immediately, he decided to focus on the programme. Also, artificial intelligence is the domain that interests him.
He sounds optimistic, and speaks of working on state-of-the-art research and writing as many research papers, and getting interesting results. He looks forward to meeting people from across the globe, senior researchers and scientists.
His teachers speak highly of his academic prowess. According to Prof Muralidhara V N, an Associate Professor at the institute, Aditya is good at coding and a dedicated student. Only a few teams from the country are chosen every year to participate.

Aditya was one of the finalists of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2017-2018. This prestigious competition is for computer language coding enthusiasts. Well, Aditya is optimistic about his tenure at Google and hopes to learn as much as he can while he is there.
