To ease the preparation for civil services aspirants, the Tamil Nadu government has decided to introduce coaching academies all over the state.
“To help those appearing for IAS/IPS examinations, the state education department will soon start coaching academies in all the 32 districts,” Education Minister K A Sengottaiyan told PTI.
This move will especially help aspirants from poor and middle-class families, who cannot afford to pay the high fees of coaching centres to prepare for the exam and get good ranks.
The announcement for the new coaching academies in the state districts was made by K A Sengottaiyan at a function in Thindal village.
He also distributed over ₹10.50 lakh worth pooja articles to 420 temples under the administration of the state Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment department, reports PTI.
This month, the UPSC Civil Services (IAS) Mains Examination will begin from October 28. The admit card for the exam along with essential instructions are available on the official website of UPSC.
This is for those aspirants who have already cleared the preliminary exam and have also filled the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online.
The results of the preliminary examinations were declared in the last week of July. The UPSC has gone paperless this year, with only e-admit cards available on its website.
