It has announced three vacancies, of which one is for the general category candidate while the remaining are reserved for the EWS and OBC communities.

The age limit for the general and EWS categories is 30 years; whereas for OBC, it is 33 years.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the ‘administrative officer’ post in the Geological Survey of India, Kolkata Ministry of Mines.

While the post is permanent, the probation period is of two years, and the monthly salary will be between Rs 44,900 and Rs 1,42,400.

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

They should have two years of experience in administration, accounts, and establishment, legal or vigilance matters in central or state government or union territory.

Candidates from government, autonomous or statutory organisations, central public sector corporations, state public sector corporations or accredited universities can also apply.

The candidates have to pay Rs 25 as an application fee. Female/SC/ST/persons with benchmark disability are exempted from paying the fee.
