The State Bank Of India (SBI) is inviting applications for the post of Probationary Officer (PO).

There are a total of 2,000 vacancies available for the post, and interested candidates must be between the ages of 21 and 30 years as of 1 April, 2023, to apply.

To apply for the PO position, candidates must possess a graduation certificate in any field from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification acknowledged by the Central Government.

Individuals in the final year of graduation can also apply, given that they can graduate by 31 December, 2023.

Candidates can download their preliminary examination call letters starting from the second week of October.

The preliminary exam will be for 100 marks and have 100 questions on English language, quantitative aptitude, and reasoning ability.

It will be conducted online in November, and the results will be declared in November or December 2023.

Eligible candidates will then attend the mains. Main exam call letters will be accessible in either November or December, with the exam scheduled for December or January 2024.

Candidates who clear the main examination will be eligible for the psychometric test, group exercise, and interview session — which will be conducted in January or February 2024.

The main exam will have an objective test worth 200 marks and a descriptive test for 50 marks.

The objective test will include questions from reasoning and computer aptitude, data analysis and interpretation, general/ economy/ banking awareness, and the English language. Whereas, the descriptive test will have letter and essay writing questions.

The registration process begins on 7 September, 2023, and closes on 27 September, 2023. And the final results will be announced in February or March 2024.

The application fee for General/EWS/OBC candidates is Rs 750, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt from paying any application fee.
