The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced the expansion of its Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) programme.
Initially aimed at undergraduate and postgraduate students of science and technology, the online programme has now been extended to other students and enthusiasts.
The START programme is scheduled tentatively for July–August 2023. The programme will feature lectures spanning 2–3 hours a day for 2–3 weeks, through ISRO’s e-class platform.
It is expected to cover lectures on the Earth and near-Earth space, astrophysics, cosmology, and research opportunities in space science.

ISRO has approved over 280 institutions as nodal centres for the programme. Only the students of these centres can register through their institution to be eligible for exams and merit certificates.
