ISRO Announces Free Online Certification Course For Students, Govt Employees

The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) under the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has announced a free online course for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The technical/ scientific staff of the Central/ State government/ Faculty/ researchers at universities/institutions can also register.

The online course is titled Basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System, and Global Navigation Satellite System.

There are a limited number of seats available and registration will be done on a first come first serve basis.

The course is scheduled from 28 August to 17 November 2023. The participants can register for the course here.

The course study materials — including lecture pdf, video recorded lectures, open source software and handouts of demonstrations — will be made available through E-CLASS & ISRO LMS.

The participants with 70 percent attendance will be eligible for online examination.

The participants who score a minimum of 40 percent in the online examination will be awarded a “Course Completion” certificate from IIRS, Dehradun.
