The Government’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has invited applications from qualified candidates for internships in topics like regulation, human resources, legal, food sampling and tasting, etc.
The tenure of the internship will be for two months, which may be extended to six months.
Candidates must hold a graduate/post-graduate degree/higher degree from a recognised institute or university.
The shortlisted candidates have to submit a short written presentation for the final selection.
The interns would be appointed at one of the several divisions at FSSAI (HQ) in Delhi, regional offices in Kolkata and Chennai, and the National Food Laboratories in Ghaziabad, Kolkata and Chennai.
The appointments will depend on the academic and technical training and assigned projects related to different aspects of food and nutrition management processes.
The selected candidate will be given a monthly stipend of Rs 10,000.
All interns will receive a certificate from the Human Resource Division at FSSAI (HQ) upon successfully completing their internship — which includes submitting their final report/presentation and receiving a recommendation from the Project Evaluation Committee.
The online applications started on 15 September, 2023, and the last date for submitting the application form is 20 September, 2023.
The date for the announcement of shortlisted candidates is 25 September, 2023, and the date of joining is expected to be in the first or second week of October 2023.
