The most heartening thing about this enchanting village is that a local conservation committee, with generous help from the nearby villages, takes great pains to keep this amazing piece of history intact. The deserted village lanes are broomed every day, and mindless picnickers are prevented from scrawling on these hallowed walls!
The sculptures in the caves are breathtaking in their intricacy and aesthetics. However, the dilapidation and neglect is there for all to see. It is time we citizens took action before all is lost.
As a gesture of profound gratitude, the villagers of Idar protect this incredible landscape from the modern-day demons: the quarry owners lurking in the nearby villages. Just so that these Natural Wonders could be passed on from this generation to the next.
