Gurbir Singh from Amritsar, Punjab, started farming on his 2.5 acres of ancestral land. Two decades later, he grows cauliflower, cabbage, tomato and other vegetables, including hybrid chilies on 25 acres of his nursery.

Founded in 1962, Borosil has become iconic in India for its glassware - from medical grade vials to cups, saucers, plates and even kitchen appliances. Today it is a multi-crore company with 1500 employees.

Backed by the amazing cooking skills of his grandma and aunts, Bengaluru’s Murali Gundanna decided to quit his corporate job and started home-cooked food delivery startup “Food Box”

Every year, he exports close to six tonnes of ginger and turmeric (fresh and processed) to the US and countries in Europe. Moreover, he has trained over 200 farmers in the region.
