A Muslim Groom Decided to Celebrate the Union of All Religions at His Wedding in an Epic Way!
It wasn't just about celebrating the commitment made by two people but also the love between different communities.
Weddings are generally grand occasions that bring families together to celebrate the union of two human beings. But one groom took his wedding to thaw tensions between various religious communities in his town, by teaching everyone a lesson through love.
Mohammad Saleem, who is from the Ranapura area of Jhabua district in Madhya Pradesh, was saddened to see communal tensions erupt in the region between the Hindu and Muslim communities about a month ago. Hence, he along with his brother, Mohammad Arif, devised a plan to bring everyone together by celebrating all religions.
So, how did they manage to pull it all off?

Well, the wedding cards were printed by paying homage to the Hindu religion, wherein they sported images of Hindu deities like Ganesha, Radha and Krishna. The wedding itself took place according to Islamic rituals and the feast thrown afterward was a strictly vegetarian affair in adherence to Jain traditions.
Mohammad spoke to the Hindustan Times saying, “About a month ago, a clash took place between Hindus and Muslims over a trivial issue. A large number of people were injured in stone pelting. The tension after the incident was palpable. So, I decided to have my marriage with a fusion of all elements representing different religions—Hindu, Jain and Muslim—to teach a lesson to anti-social elements who are out to disturb the peace.”

While some of his relatives objected to the family embracing traditions from various religions, Mohammad’s own immediate family stood by his decisions and supported him throughout. And of course, the wedding itself was a great success with guests from all communities and religions celebrating the commitment made by two people not only to each other but also to the community.
