It's a personal story that will resonate with anyone who has at some point struggled with body issues.
Given the world is informed by beauty standards that are often impossible to achieve, many women and men end up developing issues regarding their own bodies at a very young age and sometimes these issues never really fade away.
Celebrity designer, Masaba Gupta, took to Instagram to touch upon those very issues in an incredibly personal and heartfelt note about her own struggles dealing with body acceptance. In the post, she writes about how she has suffered with terrible acne and weight problems for over 14 years and how much it has affected her as a person.
She writes, “There were days I would refuse to leave home without putting powder on my face & refused to put any lights on in the room. I’ve had men tell me they want to throw up when they see my face.”
Hence it is important to take care of one’s body and mind and focus on wellness, she notes. And most importantly learn to love yourself because the world will try to break you.
