Taking the board exams can be an incredibly stressful time in any student’s life, and it can be more so if a student in the midst of all the revisions has to worry about locating the exam centres and getting there on time.
Thankfully, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched an app that addresses just that.
The app is called CBSE Exam Locator and does what it says. It provides students information on their exam centres as well as routes to these centres.

In a news report, NDTV has quoted a statement from CBSE noting, “The Exam Locator App helps students to quickly know the exam centre on the basis of Roll Number. A student can easily find the address, images and geo location of the designated exam centre on the map and know how to reach.”
The app for now is currently available only for Android phones. Once it is downloaded, students have to select whether they want details on CBSE Class 10 information or Class 12 information. After which, they have to input their roll numbers. The information will automatically appear.

The CBSE examinations, which began Wednesday, will have 19.8 lakh students taking them over the course of the next few weeks. If the app is successful, then it is likely that the CBSE will start rolling out similar apps for other examinations like JEE Main, JEE Advanced and NEE.
Now all that is left is to take the exams!
