Transcript:
Eco sans toilet costs about Rs. 10,000 to build. It comes with no plumbing, no drains, no water, no odour, no chemicals, and no hassle since they’re easy to install. Eco san doesn’t ‘flush out’ the waste. Instead, it decomposes the dry waste over time, converting it into manure. While the wet waste dries up, a ‘deodourizing process’ takes care of the smell. Thus, the entire process requires no water. These toilets are being implemented in Tamil Nadu, tackling open defecation and water shortage in one go.
