A jawan named Raghvan Singh, stationed at the LoC in Kashmir, recites four lines about his work and a soldier's sacrifice.
The Indian Border Security Force (BSF), which employs 2,50,000 personnel in 186 battalions, is one of the largest border protection forces in the world. BSF soldiers display exceptional grit and courage, putting their lives in danger, day in and day out.
When journalist Jugal R Purohit met with BSF personnel in Kashmir on November 7, a jawan named Raghvan Singh from Uttar Pradesh’s Mainpuri district, recited four lines about his work, which Jugal captured on video. The poem is moving and powerful because it sheds light on a soldier’s sacrifice at the Line of Control for the well-being of the country.
