VIDEO: This Community in Rajasthan Cohabits Peacefully with Wild Animals

The Bishnois of Khejrali in Rajasthan follow a religion that focusses on conservation of nature and wildlife. They follow a set of 29 principles given by Guru Jambheshwar and cohabit with wild animals -- going to the extent of sharing a meal with the deer, or helping a wounded animal in their temples that double up as care-centres. Bishnoi is the formation of two words - 'bees' and 'nois', which mean 'twenty' and 'nine'.
