Meet the 8-Year-Old Ace Developer Who Advised Microsoft’s Nadella on Sustainable Development

During his recent visit to India, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella fielded some tough questions and listened patiently to some sound advice on sustainable development. The questions didn’t come from seasoned journalists and the advice wasn’t offered by experts. Both came from a young gaming developer.

While most eight-year-olds are busy playing video games, this is one eight-year-old that is busy making them! The bespectacled young boy has developed a gaming app called ‘Let There Be Light.’ In the game, users build things like factories and farms to ensure the prosperity of their cities. “You have to balance industrial growth and agriculture so that you can control pollution and the rate of growth so that an economy can sustain itself,” the young developer explains in an interview with CNBC TV18.

Listen in as the little genius recounts Nadella’s reaction to his advice on sustainable development:

“I am looking at becoming the CEO of Microsoft to make it a technological company that takes over all the companies in the world,” says the young boy wonder.
